- Perform duties in the absence of the MIS Manager
- Assist the MIS Manager with administrative and technical functions.
- Responsible for maintaining servers and workstations as requested by the MIS Manager
- Perform system diagnosis, repair and updates to ensure data integrity
and reliability of automated tasks. - Assist with diagnosing and resolving problems with printers, copiers,
fax machines and networks. - Provide help-desk and on-site technical support of hardware and software.
- Interface with users to identify computer related needs and provide
appropriate software/hardware support applicable to those needs. - Ensure the anti-virus software is always up to date and share necessary
information with users regarding potential risks. - Monitor, order and distribute computer supplies.
- Provide instruction to staff on the use of computer applications and systems.
- Generate reports as requested by the MIS Manager.
- Ensure routine backups are performed as outlined by the Backup & Restore Manual.
- Assist in maintaining and updating of web site and intranet.
- Any other duties as requested by the MIS
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent any other professional experience
- Strong communications skills both oral & written and ability to practice
- both downward and upward communication.
- Experience in interacting with senior management.
- A demonstrated ability to implement management directives with little direct supervision.
- A demonstrated ability to co-ordinate hardware and software maintenance contracts.
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years experience in MIS or performing similar duties.
